The University is a leading technical education institution in Belarus, specializing in the training of engineering and scientific personnel for industries such as mechanical engineering, metallurgy, power engineering, economics, radio electronics, and IT. With a special permit from the Ministry of Education of Belarus, it offers 21 undergraduate, 8 master’s, 9 Ph.D. and Doctorate programs, as well as 18 retraining specialties and pre-university courses.

The University community consists of approximately 10,000 people, including students and staff. It has 7 faculties and 1 institute, covering areas such as Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, Economics, Automation, Information Systems, and more. Around 400 highly qualified teachers, including 160 with advanced degrees, contribute to education across 28 departments.

Facilities include four academic buildings, a specialized laboratory for heavy equipment, and three modern student hostels. The University also offers comprehensive medical services, dining options, and extensive sports facilities.

The University library holds over 550,000 volumes and provides access to scientific journals, electronic resources, and the Internet. The University’s publishing center produces educational and scientific materials, including the journal “Vestnik,” recognized for publishing engineering theses. The University newspaper “Sushka” highlights campus life.

International cooperation is a key focus, with partnerships in education and research with institutions like the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (Italy), Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Russia), and the National Technical University of Ukraine. The University also hosts significant international conferences, such as the biannual “Present-Day Problems of Engineering Science” and others focused on various academic disciplines.
